If you like to drive there are quite a few places you will want to go in Nova Scotia, one of Canada’s maritime provinces. One of those places is a little quiet fishing village named Peggy’s Cove. It’s famous for its rocky shores guarded by a great white lighthouse. From Halifax it’s a 30 minutes drive to Peggy’s Cove on a some roads with a great view. Make sure you don’t go there around 4:00 PM in the afternoon when everybody is coming home from work, or you might get caught in traffic.

Anyway, we were lucky enough to go to Peggy’s Cove on a bright and sunny winter day. Sure it was cold outside, but that didn’t stopped us from taking a short walk to the lighthouse, one of Peggy’s Cove landmarks. After the cold air took over our willingness to stay outside we went for a coffee at The Sou’Wester Gift & Restaurant, a nice restaurant near the lighthouse, with a few local foods specialties, all hand made.
Here are some of the beautiful pictures we’ve took at Peggy’s Cove, one of Canada’s gems, as people like to say about this fishing village:
